Knowledge

Michael Yang grew up in Silicon Valley since 1976 at age 14, when Apple was still only a garage startup. His uncle was a successful tech entrepreneur who took his company public on the Nasdaq stock market. He has a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley, a MS in Computer Science from Columbia University, as well as an MBA from the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley.

Operating Experience in Silicon Valley

Michael worked at Xerox Palo Alto Research Center as a chip design engineer and at Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. as a director of corporate development. He founded mySimon.com in 1998, raised $30 million in venture capital and sold the company to CNET for $700 million in 2000. He has over 20 years of experience as a technology entrepreneur, CEO and investor.

He spent over 30 years in tech within Silicon Valley and has deep connections to engineers, entrepreneurs, CEOs, venture capitalists and technology leaders in the United States, Korea, Japan and China.
